MATYA-Ghana Limited is a commercial farm that is committed to cultivating both organic and non – organic plantain for both the Ghanaian market and the global market (processed and packaged plantain chips). Growing in a community where plantain farm is the main occupation of the people with my parents deep rooted into this occupation. After cultivation, most of their products go waste. I was the only child who gain formal education out of four siblings with the rest still taking after our parent occupation with even worse situation where their products are sold at low price, sometimes costumers do not even come again because they also run at lost since the plantain rot at the markets. After conducting our market research and feasibility studies, the positive feedback from them motivates us to get into said business.
